The Wood Care Shoppe

Terrapin Studio’s Woodcraft

Intro & Descriptions of Work

The exhibit work was designed by architects and designers for the many companies who contracted the exhibit shop.  The Chaco Culture exhibit and the MCI Lobby were the only two of my numerous projects I had time to get pictures of.  As the artist and finisher for this shop, I created the end result of all the exhibits, including; building the glass exhibit cases, painting and silk-screening panels, frames and drawing the levels of the relief map to be cut in the shop, then finished and silk-screened it.  Applying fabric to wall panels, matching colors, etc…

The Wood Care Shoppe was established in 1983 as a refinishing business.  My husband and I were subcontracted to the exhibit shop and then a custom furniture shop before opening our own custom furniture shop in 1985 in Rockaway, NJ.

This is a portion of the work done.  Some of the designs were from architects and designers, some were our own designs.
